I love working with young people and am so passionate about helping them to achieve their goals. I fully appreciate that English can be a challenging subject and I work hard to get to know my students and instil a real sense of self-belief.
Every tutoring session I offer is tailor-made to engage each individual student I work with. Creativity is key to engagement. Activities I have offered include:
- analysing the language used in restaurant menus
- exploring the meaning of song lyrics
- writing post-match analyses of sports matches
- using art and interior design to expand vocabulary
- reviewing films, TV dramas and video games
- creating advertisements and charity appeals
- designing fashion items and exploring retail
